It is with sadness that I write that Gordon Waller has passed away. He will be sadly missed and I am sure that Heaven is a little bit more lively now he has arrived to talk to his friends and sing many of all our loved ones there some great songs. One song in particular that we can all do with a listen to now and then is " World Without Love ". This was the song that Peter and Gordon took to No 1 world wide back in the 60's. Gordon Waller went into cardiac arrest on the evening of July 16, 2009 and died early in the morning of July 17, 2009 at a hospital near his home in Connecticut.

Sir Paul McCartney has given folk duo Peter and Gordon a boost as they launch a long-awaited comeback, by urging fans to catch one of their reunion shows. The former Beatle penned the pair's smash-hit 1964 debut A WORLD WITHOUT LOVE, and has been linked to PETER ASHER and GORDON WALLER throughout their career, having once dated Asher's actress sister JANE.
The annual New York area convention for fans of the Beatles takes place the first weekend in April just outside New York City, and this year will be a treat for Beatles fans of all ages and generations with first-ever convention appearances by several people with close associations to the Fab Four. DECEMBER 2005 - PETER & GORDON LIVE ON ARENATA COLISEUM MANILA
The Beatles' concerts in Manila had been anticipated by the local population on a level that Gould likens to the band's 1964 tour of Australia, when the whole country appeared to view the visit as a national event. The group's commitment to perform in the Philippines reinforced the country's pro-Western image and was especially welcomed by the recently elected president, Ferdinand Marcos, and his wife Imelda. Although the Beatles' tour itinerary originally listed the venue as the Araneta Coliseum, the concerts took place at the Rizal Memorial Stadium. The shows were promoted by Ramon Ramos and his company Cavalcade International Productions.
DECEMBER 2005 - PETER & GORDON IN PHILIPPINES
2005 is the year of reuniting for Peter & Gordon, and the concerts from the year have been absolutely splendid. It is a shame that Peter could not attend the Philippines comeback concert, but thankfully Gordon was ready to go! The night turned out to be a real throwback for all fans of these classic icons. "A World Without Love", straight from McCartney's mind and passions, as well as "True Love Ways", "It's Alright Mama", and "500 miles, among others, graced the ears of the Phillipines during this comeback concert. The pop favourites of yesteryear were strong as ever in the hearts of loyal fans attending the Aliw Theater, and the whole of Roxas Boulevard was jumping for more! Accompanied by other giants such as Chris Montez, John Ford Coley, and the members of Area One, Gordon was able to sing his heart out - even if Peter did not attend, Gordon was by no means alone. The finale capped it all off as all the artists contributed towards singing "Summertime Blues". Countless fans had their musical wishes fulfilled by these passionate singers, and the 60s were very much alive that night!

JULY 2005 - PETER AND GORDON ARE TO REFORM FOR A SPECIAL CONCERT. THIS IS GROUND BREAKING NEWS FOR THE WORLD
Yes that's right. Peter and Gordon are to reform. Here are two shows that have been booked at BB Kings Club in New York on the August 2: at 7:30 pm and 11:00pm.
The 1st show is sold out and the other one is selling fast. The concert is a special event for Mike Smith.
Most of us know Mike Smith through the music of the Dave Clark Five. Mike provided that dominating vocal, plus amazing keyboards, versatile song-writing, and wonderful stage presence. His good-time energy fed part of our childhood. And then...Many of us were blessed again when Mike Smith toured the USA in 2003 with..."Mike Smith's Rock Engine" That excellent band covered several DC5 hits as they presented a dynamic magazine of classic rock and roll songs to audiences across the United States. But then,
in October 2003, Mike fell from a fence at his home in Spain. He broke his neck, and presently resides in a hospital in London. With the persevering help of his wife Charlie, with the incredible support and encouragement of his fans, and by the grace of God, Mike has courageously fought for his life these many months. His kindness and strength of character through these times is an inspiration to all of us .
